Reading Assignment !

I have learned that I will never stop reading. Reading assignments , here is one.
In a 1979 issue of "Miniatures and Dollhouse World " magazine, I found an interesting article about a past NAME President, Braxton Payne. He still creates and soon a fireplace of his will be on NAME's online auction website.

Enjoy reading  with me.
On a side note Mr. Payne's mother in law was an original member of my miniature club, the Bluegrass Miniature Society and was the owner of a miniature store in Versailles, Kentucky.

Hello and Welcome !

The world of tiny things has quite a history! No one can earn a college degree in miniatures but I am.
It is a self taught degree and for the past 10 years I have been on the path to getting this degree. Now, it is time for me to get to the final semester.
One's work in miniatures is a form of art...
look at this picture , is this not the artistic talent of a person?

So realistic that you can not tell the difference from real life to 1/12" scale.

This room box was donated to the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts and can now be seen at the national headquarters in Carmel, Indiana.
I was fortunate to be able to meet the owner of this roombox, Charles Tebleman of Cincinnati, Ohio and be the one who delivered it to NAME.

This blog will be about vintage miniatures, artisans, finding out who made certain miniatures as many past artisans never signed or dated their work
I want to share with you what I have learned, what I continue to learn and maybe you can even help me in my search for answers to- who made this or who was this person?

I hope you will enjoy my last semester, my last class in the Miniature College and I hope this class earns me an A!
